Mpho Sedibe is a seasoned Chartered Accountant (SAICA) and a certified director (IODSA) with over 16 years of professional experience and more than 10 years serving in board and trustee roles. Her career is defined by a commitment to economic transformation, governance excellence, and impactful social and economic development. As the founder and managing director of MOPSY Group, she has spearheaded projects that have unlocked over R2 billion in economic development value, with a strategic focus on Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), ESG, and sustainable community development. Her extensive sector expertise spans financial services, automotive, manufacturing, tourism, education, property, and the non-profit sector. Her work as a B-BBEE strategist for the AB Inbev-SAB $107bn acquisition showcased her ability to align complex private sector transactions with public interest imperatives, while her leadership at MOPSY has driven transformative supply chain, enterprise, and socio-economic development initiatives across multiple industries.

Her impact extends into boardrooms and trustee roles, where she has served on several high-impact entities, including the Film and Publications Board, City of Johannesburg’s Group Audit Committee, Tshwane Economic Development Agency (TEDA), Instill Education Foundation, Nova Pioneer Education Trust, and SGS Group Ownership Trust. Mpho is also the current Chairperson of the Altron Ownership Trust and a trustee of the BMW Skills and Enterprise and Supplier Development Trust and Endress+Hauser Ubuntu Trust. Her earlier career at McKinsey & Company, Allan Gray, and Investec Bank provided her with strong foundations in financial management, governance, and operational excellence across sectors including logistics, energy, and capital markets. Mpho’s academic journey, which includes a postgraduate qualification in Organisational and Business Psychology and ongoing certifications in ESG and Impact Investing, underscores her commitment to integrating technical expertise with human-centred leadership.
