Dr. Tiffany Henshall is an experienced Social Impact Specialist with 15 years of expertise in managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of environmental sustainability, community development and social impact. Her work spans diverse sectors, including non-profits, academia, ESG-focused initiatives and consulting roles in both public and private sectors across South Africa. Tiffany currently serves as a social impact specialist at MOPSY Group, where she leads social and environmental assessments, develops social impact assessments, monitoring and evaluation, social and labour plans (SLPs) and spearheads LED project development. Her role involves managing ESG compliance, impact reporting, grant fulfilment and stakeholder engagement for a range of community-based projects. Previously, Tiffany worked as a social scientist and project manager at Data Central, where she contributed to impact assessments, community project design, gender policy design and fundraising strategies.

Her background includes extensive consulting experience, including with Umuzi NPO and NKEM, where she conducted social impact assessments in South Sudan, developed e-learning materials and provided project management expertise. She also held long-term roles with the Siyavuma Foundation NPO, leading strategic planning, community outreach and workshop execution for over a decade. Tiffany’s expertise extends to global platforms, serving as a Vice-Chair for the ESG Division of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA). She is also a team member of the UN Global Innovation Hub’s Circularity & Waste Management Project, where she contributed to the design of a global sustainability initiative aimed at circular economies and waste reduction. A certified GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) practitioner, Tiffany combines her technical knowledge in impact measurement with practical skills in community engagement, mentorship and cross-sector collaboration. Her academic work includes a PhD thesis integrating anthropology, archaeology, political science and environmental science, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to sustainability and social justice. Tiffany is passionate about bridging gaps between grassroots community needs and policy-level action, with a strong focus on sustainability, ESG integration, and equitable impact delivery.
