Bongani Sibisi is a seasoned real estate professional with over 16 years of experience in asset management, fund structuring and portfolio strategy. His career has been defined by leadership roles in South Africa’s largest real estate investment trusts (REITs), including Growthpoint Properties, Redefine Properties and Nthoese Developments, where he has managed portfolios exceeding R5.3 billion across both emerging and developed markets. Bongani started out his career in property management, before transitioning to asset management in 2018. Bongani has worked for JSE listed REITs like Synergy Income Fund, Growthpoint and Redefine Properties where in all occasions his responsibilities included formalising a strategic plan for the commercial, retail and industrial portfolio and making recommendations to the business regarding re-engineering, streamlining and risk balancing within the portfolio from an investment point of view. He currently sits on various committee for the private equity property partner, Nthoese, these committees include: social ethics and sustainability committee, and the capital investment committee. He was also instrumental in the capital raise for the group in securing circa R1, 5 Billion (USD 75m) from the Public Investment Corporation in 2022.
